RENEE LEVESQUE
Renée is an emerging American singer/songwriter, captivating audiences with her smooth voice and heartfelt storytelling. With her folksy lyrics and catchy melodies, she brings a fresh and enchanting sound to the indie/folk/pop genre. Instrumentally, she showcases a distinct percussive sound, including elements of rock and bluegrass in her repertoire.
From an early age, Renée discovered her passion for music and honed her craft, becoming a skilled vocalist and songwriter. She began writing songs at age 7 and has continued to evolve her music since. Renée’s musical journey led her to Fairfield University, where she recently graduated as valedictorian with a degree in marketing.
Renée plays and writes songs on the guitar, baritone ukulele, and mandolin. Her songwriting has matured over the years, shifting from whimsical lyrics about rainbows and butterflies to the depths of love, heartbreak, and the highs and lows that define the human condition.
She has won and/or placed in the Eventide Songwriting Competition several times, performed twice at the Cape Cod Women’s Music Festival, and, in 2022, she won Steeple Street Music Academy’s Mash-ville Songwriting Competition.
