ONCE AN OUTLAW
Once an Outlaw brings together current and former members of some of the bands that created the southern rock genre.
Chris Anderson (Outlaws/Grinderswitch), David Goldflies (Allman Brothers Band), Mike Kach (Dickey Betts Band/Great Southern), Chuck Farrell (Jon Butcher Blues Project/James Montgomery), AJ Vallee (Southern Rock All Stars/Peacheaters)
The group also includes Chris Hicks (Marshall Tucker/Outlaws) who performs with the band when not on tour with Marshall Tucker.
Special guests have included Harvey Dalton Arnold (Outlaws), Jeff Howell (Outlaws/Foghat), Bruce Marshall (Toy Caldwell Band), Barry Goudreau (Boston).
A Once an Outlaw show celebrates the southern rock genre and each of the members careers with a special emphasis on the Allman Brothers and Outlaws. When Chris Hicks appears expect a healthy dose of Marshall Tucker. The audience can also expect original music from Chris Anderson’s solo work as well as Rattlebone. You’ll get the hits you know and love and some deep cuts for the die hard fan. A few classic blues chestnuts round out the show.
Anderson’s soulful voice give the hard hitting blues and Outlaws tunes credibility while Kach’s voice is almost identical of a mid 1970’s Gregg Allman. The guitar combo of Anderson and Farrell is flawless and when Hicks joins the line up is on par with the original Florida Guitar Army. Don’t confuse Once an Outlaw with another tribute show, this is an alumni show celebrating the southern rock genre.
