THE AYLA BROWN BAND . FEATURING AYLA BROWN & ROB BELLAMY . MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND CELEBRATION . 250 YEARS OF AMERICA
Kick off a powerful Memorial Day Weekend celebration at The Music Room as we honor 250 years of America with a three-night run of Patriotic Country & Middle-America rock — starting Friday night with The Ayla Brown Band featuring Ayla Brown & Rob Bellamy.
Both Massachusetts natives and former collegiate athletes, Ayla Brown and Rob Bellamy found each other more than 1,000 miles from home while songwriting in Nashville. What began as a creative collaboration quickly grew into a magnetic musical partnership — and eventually a lifelong one. After recording demos, sharing viral videos on Facebook and YouTube, and touring together up and down the East Coast, the duo married in 2021 and are now raising two young sons, Barrett and Brock, while continuing to build serious momentum in country music.
Ayla Brown brings a nationally recognized résumé and commanding stage presence. Top 13 finalist on Season 5 of American Idol, she has released five studio albums, performed twice on the Grand Ole Opry, and entertained U.S. troops overseas in 13 countries. Her career includes live national television appearances on ESPN, FOX & Friends, CNN, and CBS, along with opening for country legends and hitmakers including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Charlie Daniels, Josh Turner, Sara Evans, Phil Vassar, and more. A former full-scholarship basketball player at Boston College, Ayla is also a familiar voice across New England as the co-host of “Country Mornings with Jonathan and Ayla” on Country 102.5 WKLB.
Rob Bellamy brings heartfelt songwriting and road-tested energy to the band. He released his EP Long Freight Train in 2016, followed by the single “Walk It With Me” in 2020, leading to extensive touring and opening slots for Carly Pearce, Mark Wills, Dylan Scott, Russell Dickerson, and has been recognized as one of country music’s most exciting emerging voices. Before music, Rob played four years of collegiate hockey at the University of Maine, was drafted in the 3rd round by the Philadelphia Flyers, and spent seven years playing semi-professional hockey across the U.S. and England — a background that fuels the intensity and drive of his live performances.
Together as The Ayla Brown Band, Ayla and Rob deliver soaring harmonies, emotionally charged originals, and a modern country sound rooted in authenticity, heartland values, and American storytelling. Their duo EP, Make It Mean Something — a six-song collection co-written entirely by the pair — showcases the chemistry and connection that define their live show, now elevated even further in a FULL BAND setting.
