ANTHONY GERACI & THE BOSTON BLUES ALL-STARS! ALBUM RELEASE PARTY!

Get ready for contemporary piano driven Blues by award-winning musician, Anthony Geraci.  The real fun comes when Geraci ignites the players in his band, The Boston Blues All-Stars rolling through modern and traditional blues numbers to bring the audience to their feet!  Celebrating the release of their new album LIVE at The Music Room!

Pianist, Hammond organist, and composer Anthony Geraci was born in New Haven, CT in 1954.  His interest in playing piano began at age four when he told his parents “I want a piano!”  Kind of an odd request when most kids want a new baseball glove or bicycle.  His parents weren’t musical-not even a record player at their house, but they always supported their son’s undeniable passion for music.  They soon bought a Kimball Grand Piano that his mother paid 4 dollars a week to own.  Lessons at the Neighborhood School of Music which was affiliated with Yale University soon followed.  At around the age of sixteen, he befriended a fellow musician, Ed Cherry at high school. They soon began listening to music together after school and one day Ed played a Jimmy Rogers recording, Chicago Bound that literally changed his life.  Ed went on to be Dizzy Gillespie’s guitarist for many years.

New Haven was rich as far as listening to and seeing major music artists, and NYC was only a few hours away by train. Seeing Muddy Waters, B.B. King, and Willie Dixon was part of his blues education that could only be learned by seeing these great artists firsthand.  Years later Anthony had the opportunity to play piano with Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Otis Rush, Chuck Berry, Big Mama Thornton, Big Joe Turner, Jimmy Rodgers, and many more-something a sixteen-year-old budding blues pianist would never have seemed possible.

Anthony is an original member of Sugar Ray and the Bluetones, and Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters, he has recorded with both Artists extensively.  He has also recorded with Blues Pioneers: Big Walter Horton, Carey Bell, Odetta, Big Jack Johnson, Charlie Musselwhite, Lazy Lester, Snooky Pryor, and John Brim.  As well as contemporary Blues Artists; Kenny Neal, Debbie Davies, Otis Grand, Welch/Ledbetter, Zora Young, Tas Cru, Kilborn Alley, The Proven Ones, and Duke Robillard.  Anthony graduated from the Berklee College of Music with B.A. Degree, and an M.A. from Skidmore College.  His 2015 release, Fifty Shades of Blue, on Delta Groove Records has been met with acclaimed reviews and earned multiple Blues Music Award nominations from the Blues Foundation in Memphis, TN.  Anthony Geraci is a 2021 Blues Music Award Winner for Instrumentalist- Pianist from the Blues Foundation in Memphis, TN.  Anthony Geraci and the Boston Blues All-Stars were nominated in 2021 for Band of the Year (and 2019).  Anthony has 15 personal Blues Music Award Nominations along with a Grammy nomination for Super Harps I (Telarc.), Best Song-for the title track, Best Album, and Best Traditional Blues Album.  Anthony also received an individual nomination for the Pinetop Perkins Piano Player of the Year Award.  Fifty Shades Of Blue was also nominated for Traditional Blues Album of the year by Blues Blast Magazine, and was ranked as one of the top 50 Blues recordings of 2015 by Living Blues Magazine, and earned a 4 Star view in Downbeat Magazine.

Be on the lookout for a new recording coming out in 2022 featuring all original tunes by Anthony, with special guests Anne Harris, Walter Trout, Sugar Ray Norcia, and Monster Mike Welch – The Boston Blues All-Stars!

Why is there a difference in price for available seats at The Music Room?

All seating at The Music Room is acquired with a first come, first served basis approach.  The Music Room provides all patrons with a live musical experience above and beyond your average concert hall, and supporting this vision are the 4 tiers of available seats at The Music Room.  With a nod to classic record sales certification, the 4 tiers are:  Diamond, Double Platinum, Platinum, and Gold.  Seats range in price based on several factors including artist availability and distance to the stage.

Do you have the same number of seats for each tier?

No.  The Diamond tier of seats only has 12 seats available.  These seats are 4 top rounds located right at the foot of the stage.  You cannot get any closer to the artist than these 12 seats.  These are considered premium seats and are usually purchased by the most ardent fans.

The Double Platinum sections features 4 top square tables and one special 2 top rectangle, and there are 14 seats available.  Still very close to the stage, these seats provide an exceptional view and personal experience.  Table no. 7 is a 2 top rectangle that sits just to the right of the stage and back approximately 6 feet.  It is an extremely popular table.

The Platinum section of seats has a mixture of 4 top squares, two 3 high top rounds, and 9 drink rail seats that are bar height.  The total number of seats in the Platinum section is 37.  These are all excellent seats and reside in the main room.  Depending on a viewer’s personal taste, a table, a high top, or a drink rail might be the right choice, but they are all fabulous and unobstructed.

Gold seating is available in the bar area and can be considered first come, first serve general admission.  Most of the seats are unobstructed but depending how patrons sit at the bar or high tops, there might be a slight obstruction.   Standing room is permitted in the Gold section. The sound is excellent and most Gold level tickets are purchased by patrons that want to be near the bar specifically or by patrons wanting to be further away from the stage by design.  Please refer to our pictures to determine if this area is what you are looking for.  There are 24 Gold seats available and or Standing Room.

*TICKET DISCLAIMER:  The Music Room has a NO REFUND POLICY.  In the event of a cancellation/reschedule, The Music Room will always honor the purchased ticket for the same seat and same artist at the original price.  If a show is cancelled and not rebooked, ticket holder will be issued a credit towards any future show/event at The Music Room.  Ticket holder assumes all risks, hazards, and dangers.  Event subject to change.  No ticket required for entry.  Please bring I.D*
